About Browser Configuration:

Browsers impose restrictions on actions downloaded applet code can perform on client machines. As a result some features are not implemented in the demo applets. Browsers must be Java compliant to run the interactive demos. The JRE plugin must be installed and enabled.
You might want to do a fast check to verify that the required software is installed on your computer. The Sun's Java VM test page should also tell you if your Java software is configured correctly. You can access additional notes about running applets using various combinations of browsers and operating systems at http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/~tomw/jvm.html.
In any case, for optimal viewing, browsers must always have JavaScript enabled. We have tested the demo applets with IE versions 5 and up, Mozilla Firefox and Konqueror on Debian Linux. Please inform us if your browser is not compatible. For Windows OS machines the Java system requirements page is a good place to start. |
